But if you don’t want to upgrade yet the other option you have is to upgrade Windows XP to SP3, since it mentions that only Sp2, Windows 2000 server, and Windows 2000 server client will not have support after July 13, 2010.
Microsoft is reminding customers that the end date for support for Windows XP Service Pack 2, as well as some other versions of the Windows operating system, is already on the horizon.
The company will officially end support Windows XP SP2, Windows 2000 Server and Windows 2000 Client on July 13, 2010, according to an official company blog post. The software maker is encouraging users of those operating systems to upgrade systems to Windows 7, Windows Server 2003, or Windows Server 2008 by the cutoff date. It’s also reminding customers that upgrades directly from Windows 2000 to Windows 7 are not officially supported.Users in the latter category will first have to upgrade to Windows XP, and then migrate over to Windows 7.
Microsoft has released a number of tools designed to ease the pain of upgrading systems to a new OS. “We have created an End-of-Support Solution Center to help with the planning of your migration strategy,” said Microsoft’s Stephen Rose, in a blog post Sunday.
The online resources include a Windows XP-to-Windows 7 migration guide, the Windows 7 Automated Installation Kit, and the User State Migration Tool.

Few upgraded to Windows Vista due to concerns about application compatibility and performance issues, and Windows 7, on the market for less than two months, remains too new to instill IT managers with much of a comfort level.
that most corporations weren’t planning to move to Windows 7 until at least a full year after its release—but with Microsoft’s deadline looming, many may now be forced to reconsider their plans.
Microsoft is likely to continue providing major security updates for Windows XP and Windows 2000 after ending support, but won’t offer performance patches, service packs or other non-critical upgrades.

I don’t know what to say about this but according to Computer World Google could win Microsoft in the long-term could that be possible? right now Microsoft is the leader of most computer desktops which it doesn’t matter how much cost the operating system users will still pay to get Windows OS.
Right now Google is planning to launch an OS to compete, well not really compete with the other OS providers but to bring a different OS, an operating system that will rely more on the Internet to do most tasks. Google already has Google Docs, Google Mail, Google Voice, Google Adsense, Google Blogger, and much much more… which means they have money and in my opinion they are in no need to compete directly with Microsoft.
I guess Google only wants to bring a different kind of OS like they did when Google Search was launched as an experiment which now is the most used search engine in the world surpassing Yahoo search and Microsoft search. If Google have the same luck, it could be possible they beat Microsoft in the long-term will see what happens during this year and half of 2010.

After causing all the commotion to most people the anonymous guy confirmed that it was all fake there was no Google Chrome OS screenshot he was just trying to catch some or thousands the attention. He created a video explaining how the fake screenshots was created.

So like I said on my previous post, how can a screenshot of Google Chrome OS be available if it been around for 1 day? You, Me and all of us are intelligent to believe this stupid nonsense. I’m sure a soon images of Google Chrome OS become available Google will be the first one to let us know.

It seems that an anonymous person took some pictures of Google Chrome operating system while a Google representative was showing a development beta of Google Chrome to a company.
Well in the first place this is very stupid, how can be possible images of Google Chrome OS been shown when this news was known yesterday? Very stupid! I had the blog that was saying that but since I’m not sure if it’s true I will not post the link here. One reason I won’t post the link here is because the blog appears to be new, only has 2 posts which I don’t think they are 100% legitimate .
