Is T-Mobile buying Sprint?

By Joel Rivera, September 14, 2009

sprint tmobile Is T Mobile buying Sprint?

Whoa! This would be great but is this for real? Well these are the rumors flying around, according to TmoNews T-Mobile parent company Deutsche Telekom is planning to offer some big money to Sprint let see what happens in the next couple of days.  There is no official news whether this is really going to happen or not, I suggest you to come visit us more often to see if this rumor comes official in a near feature.

This is what TmoNew wrote:

This rumor seems to pop up every time the wind blows in a certain direction. T-mobile wants to acquire Sprint, Sprint wants to acquire T-mobile, Sprint and T-mobile dance the Samba etc etc. Deutsche Telekom (T-mobile USA parent company) has a market value six times that of Sprint and while Sprint seems to be on a roll these days with a bounty of surprisingly affordable yet all encompassing plans combined with a super star winter lineup they hemorrhage customers at every turn. Any tech blogger or tech fan in general immediately jumps at the notion to point the incompatibility of the two company’s networks, CDMA and GSM. Considering Sprint doesn’t exactly have a strong record of accomplishment merging companies with incompatible networks we can at least be thankful T-mobile is leading this dance. That being said, there are still an unfathomable amount of questions as to how this would work, what would this do to the wireless landscape with only three major players. Telegraph UK, the newspaper responsible for this round of rumors reports that the Deutsche Telekom has called in Deutsche Bank in preparation for an offer for Sprint. This could get very interesting, very quickly and while the prospect of jumping right onto AT&T’s back with a customer base that rivals their own makes my heart fill with joy, that doesn’t mean it’s the smart play. If I were the boys at the FCC I’d want to see the best damn play by play integration schematic ever created by man on how exactly this merger would work.

If you’re a T-Mobile customers and got exited because of this rumor don’t forget that this is only a rumor!

Delays for Apple iPhone MMS Service

By Joel Rivera, July 10, 2009
The new Apple iPhone
Image by Victor Svensson via Flickr

Well folks if you plan to buy Apple new iPhone version (s) let me tell you that our folks at APPMODO said that AT&T will delay MMS and Tethering until September, also the speculated price of this new service will be $55 on top of the data plan (are they crazy?). So if you want to pay let say like $100 a month for a service that will get slower when simultaneous users are surfing AT&T 3G network go ahead and purchase it then.

According to APPMODO this information was from a reputable AT&T employee

EXCLUSIVE: We originally brought you the story last month stating MMS and tethering would be coming in July. AT&T responded directly to our story and stated it would be delayed. Well those stories are true as MMS and tethering are now coming in September. The controversy over tethering pricing remains the same. Tethering for iPhone will cost $55 on top of the current iPhone data plans.
