Google has announced a new feature called “Google Buzz” which will give you the option to socialize keeping you up to date with the things happening around you.

Google wrote on their blog:

Five years ago, Gmail was just email. Later we added chat and then video chat, both built right in, so people had choices about how to communicate from a single browser window. Today, communication on the web has evolved beyond email and chat — people are sharing photos with friends and family, commenting on news happening around them, and telling the world what they’re up to in real-time. This new social sharing is valuable, but it means there’s a lot more stuff to sort through, and it’s harder to get past status updates and engage in meaningful discussions.

Today, we’re launching Google Buzz, a new way to start conversations about the things you find interesting and share updates, photos, videos and more. Buzz is built right into Gmail, so there’s nothing to set up — you’re automatically following the people you email and chat with the most.

Here is a video explaining Google Buzz in details:

Gmail is more secured now

If you don’t know well now you will because Google announced a few days ago that now the default access to your gmail will be more secured, the address will start with HTTPS continue with the gmail address.

This is what Google wrote on their blog:

HTTPS encryption keeps your mail secure as it travels between your web browser and Gmail servers, so someone sharing your favorite coffee shop’s public wifi can’t maliciously read it. Banks and credit card companies use this same protocol to keep your online accounts safe. To protect your Gmail account, we’ve turned on the option to “always use HTTPS” for everyone. This added layer of security can make Gmail slower, so if you don’t use unencrypted wireless connections, you can choose to disable this option in your account Settings. Even if you change this setting, Gmail will always encrypt the login page to protect your password. Learn more

By Joel Rivera, December 31, 2009

Well this is a rumor but in case it comes true here it is, according the boys at Android Guys Google plans to implement VOIP service via Google Voice next year.

google voice Possible Google Voice VOIP in 2010

So I guess this will revolutionize the communication using the Internet and as we all know if Google is in front of it then it will be good.

Horowitz had this to say:What we’re trying to do with telephony is give people a seamless experience that frees up their telephony communication from the silos where it’s lived for the last decade. Voicemail, my contacts, all of those things have been segregated from the rest of my Web experience. We have big plans to do a better job.

For now let just wait and see what happens!

Google sues over work a home scams

By Joel Rivera, December 8, 2009

This gets interesting a company called Pacific Webworks was sued by the search giant Google because they are misusing their name to scam innocent people’s out there.

The company filed a lawsuit on Monday in federal court in Salt Lake City against Pacific WebWorks and other, unnamed defendants alleging trademark infringement and dilution, unfair competition, federal cyberpiracy, and violation of consumer sales practices. The lawsuit can be amended to add the names of additional defendants as they are uncovered.

Here’s a screenshot regarding the Internet scam

GoogleWorkFromHomeScam 610x539 Google sues over work a home scams

The previous headline is a complete lie Google is not hiring nobody to work from home, and for this action the search giant filed a law suet against Pacific Webworks.

And this the scam in action

Consumers are asked to pay an “instant access” fee for access to a members-only portal or a “shipping and handling fee” for a DVD that supposedly explains how to make money through the program, according to the lawsuit. Many victims who pay the fees, typically a few dollars, either do not get DVDs, they receive DVDs that contain viruses or they get access to an unrelated free site, such as Google’s online help center, the suit says.

Meanwhile, people who have provided their credit card information, e-mail, and home addresses find that their credit cards are thereafter charged $50 to $79.90 every month, according to the lawsuit. Consumers find it difficult, if not impossible, to cancel the charges or get refunds, the suit alleges.

I know how hard is to you or me trying to make money and a scammer artist like the one mentioned here promise you money and then steals your money taking out all your hopes away. Beware don’t pay nothing to make money, legitimate companies don’t ask for money real companies don’t ask for money first.
