By Joel Rivera, June 13, 2009

Are you new to technology? if yes here is a little tutorial about IP’s,  Internet and the purpose it. First of all IP numbers are special numbers assigned to every  computer connected to the Internet so they can be identify when data is being sent or receive. Well actually a web server located on the other side of the Internet is in charge of assigning IP’s  so computers can communicate with each other.

Here’s a little video tutorial explaining better what I just wrote

Example of an IP 72.167.183.41

(This is the IP this blog use to communicate with your computer when you request information to this blog)

Now do you want to know your computer IP? Yes,  well to find out all you have to do is [Go to Start, click on RUN and type in the white box CMD to bring the following screen]

ipconfig 300x185 Check your PC IP via IPCONFIG

Now on this screen type IPCONFIG and hit enter, your computer IP number will appear under “Ethernet adapter local area network, unless your computer is connected via a Wireless connection

That’s it! Easy right?
