If you install or reinstall Windows Vista and XP keep in mind that these operating systems has to be updated with the most latest service pack. Here is the following list you have to do after installing these operating systems…

1. Run Automatic Updates to get the latest fixes
2. Get a free antivirus software
   
3. Adjust your monitor screen resolution
4. Update hardware drivers
5. Install Microsoft Office
6. Install FireFox
7. Install WinZip to decompress files
8. Install your printer driver
9. Uncheck Clear Type on Control Panel (In my case it make monitor difficult to read, but if you can read with no problem leave it!

And that’s how I do it, you don’t have to do exactly the way I do it just follow the guide to get protected.

These are common things a user has to do after installing Windows, if you don’t want to do these updates every time you install Windows get a (MAC) or maybe a (Linux) just kidding.
