If you have a 2 year computer and want to install Windows Vista I recommend to run Windows Vista Upgrade Advisor, why? since Windows Vista requires more video, hard disk and memory you have to make sure your computer meets at least the minimum requirements.

Windows Upgrade Advisor will scan your computer programs, devices, and compatibility issues and will guide you to resolve them. Also it will help you choose which Windows Vista is suitable for your computer.
Using my case as an example I installed Microsoft Vista on this computer and I noticed it was running a little slow so I decided to go back to Windows XP, I run Vista advisor and qualified for an upgrade but after installing the operating system it gave my computer a score of 1.0 in performance due to low video card memory.
Make sure your computer qualifies good before upgrading, or you can wait a little longer until Windows 7 comes out. To download Windows Vista upgrade advisor click here!
