Did you know your Pen Drive can get infected fast and easy? If you carry your Pen Drive to your job or classroom you have 50% of chance of getting infected with a network virus. Why is that? Well because sometimes network administrators respond to late and let the virus propagate over the network making all the computers vulnerable in getting infected and if the computer you are using has the virus let say “Blaster” remember that virus? your pen drive will get infected also.

So lets assume your Pen Drive is infected with a computer virus and you want to clean it so you can use it again. To resolve this problem you have to make sure your computer has it virus database up to date so you can scan the USB pen drive and remove the virus.
Steps to remove the virus
- Insert the Pen Drive to an available USB port
- Wait until Windows finish recognizing the drive
- Go to My Computer, locate the drive sometimes would be (e:) or whatever letter was assigned and right click on that drive
- Once you right click on the pen drive look for “Scan this drive with your computer antivirus software” or “maybe you will see the antivirus name, click on it to scan the drive.“
- Wait until it finish and follow the antivirus instructions, once your antivirus has finished scanning your Pen Drive remove it and reinsert it again.
- Now your Pen Drive should be good and clean with no virus.
