The solution is very simple the only hardware part you have to purchase is a wireless adapter card for your desktop computer, I’m assuming your desktop doesn’t have a wireless adapter card.
Here are the steps to install the wireless card to your computer once you purchase it!
Note: Make sure to discharge your static by touching the computer outside for at least 5 sec before touching the wireless adapter card.
Wireless Card Installation Steps:
To install the wireless card open your computer case, locate an available PCI slot (the white slots) insert the wireless card and secure the card with the screw that came with the card. After installing the card close the computer case and turn on the computer.
Once your computer has restarted the operating system will recognize the wireless hardware card and will attempt to install it, if Windows ask you for the driver cancel that pop up and insert the CD-disk that came with the wireless card.
Follow the instructions until the card is completely installed and working, once the wireless card is working a small balloon near the clock will let you know a near wireless signal is detected if you want to connect to it click on the balloon to see the list of available wireless links click on your D-Link, Linksys or whatever router your computer is seeing and connect to it.
